Journey to the Four Corners Border Rounds

Journey to the Four Corners CAL
Edging and Border Parts

I can’t believe that we are at the edging and border parts for this CAL already!  Kudos to everyone who has stuck with me on this journey – I know how much work has gone into each of your squares.  At this point you should have four large squares stitched with intricate details about each state; now it is time to begin connecting everything and wrapping our journey up.

There will be five Edging and Border Parts.  I will be releasing each part as its own PDF with its own photo addendum.  I will add the links for each part to this same post each week until all five parts are released.

If you follow my Ravelry Group, you are already aware that I didn’t direct connect the squares; instead I chose to frame the squares with a series of interior and exterior edgings and borders.  The stories do not continue for these parts either – sorry!  The border parts were more about tying everything together in a way that was artistic and original and that spoke to the overall feel of the project than representing any single aspect of a state or the region.

I hope you enjoy seeing your blankets come together over the next several weeks.  I will not reveal the finished project on my blog until the last border part is released.  If you wish to see the finished product sooner you can do so by viewing the spoiler thread posted on my Ravelry Group here.
Again – thank you for being a part of this CAL.  I can’t wait to see your finished projects!!

Please note - the only style join we will use for connecting is the zipper or flat slip stitch join.  If you are not familiar with this join, please watch this brief tutorial:  How to Work the Zipper or Flat Slip Stitch Join.

  1. Really hoping to make this one! I was supposed to BE at the 4 corners at the end of March but, like so many others I'm sure, had to cancel my plans. This will be a great substitute!
